The Southeastern Panthers have named a new head football coach to replace Evan Gallaugher, who resigned following another championship season.
.
Matt Queen, who served as an offensive line coach for Southeastern this season, will assume the helm as head coach. Queen was also head coach at Vinton County in the late 90's
.
Following the regular season, former coach Evan Gallaugher was quoted in a Chillicothe Gazette article saying of Queen- “He’s done a great job with those guys. What he instills, the toughness that he instills with that group, just resonates throughout the whole team. And early on every summer we talk about the offensive line, the line is where we win and lose ball games.”
.
Gallaugher departed the Southeastern football coach position after leading the Panthers to a couple of SVC undefeated titles and regular seasons of (10-0), followed by three straight playoff appearances.
