Three Chillicothe residents are in Columbus hospitals as the result of a two-vehicle crash along Westfall Road in Ross County.
The State Highway Patrol reports Bandon Smith, 18, of Chillicothe, was traveling southwest along Westfall Road, northeast of Simmons Road, at around 7:47 a.m. Wednesday when his 2006 Toyota Scion veered off the right side of the roadway and collided with a guardrail. The vehicle then reentered the roadway and crossed the center divide where it collided with a northeast-bound 2019 Jeep Cherokee operated by Carrie Bowdle, 42, of Chillicothe.
Mr. Smith and his passenger, Jacob Smith, of Chillicothe, were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center and later transferred to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
Mrs. Bowdle was also initially taken to Adena Regional Medical Center but was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
The conditions of the three victims was not provided in the Patrol’s media release.
