Unioto Pulls Away For Win Over Adena

Unioto dominated both the second and fourth quarters in order to pull away from Adena in a 58-41 win Saturday night at "The U".

Adena led 12-8 after the first quarter, only to see the Shermans outscore the Warriors 20-9 in the second period for a 28-21 halftime lead. Adena shaved the deficit to 38-36 after three quarters, but in the final stanza, Unioto went on a 20-5 run to win 58-41.

The win pushes Unioto to (11-1) in the SVC, with Zane Trace at (10-1) after their 55-39 win at Piketon. Adena falls to (7-4) in the conference.

Unioto's Isaac Little led all players with 21 points, with Josh Lambert adding 10. Adena led by Cade McKee's 16 points followed by Logan Bennett with 13.

The Tanks shot 22/40 from the field- including 3/8 from the arc for 55%. They were 11/13 at the foul line. Adena shot 16/43 from the field- including 5/17 from the arc for 37%. The Warriors were 4/8 from the charity stripe.

Unioto won the rebounding battle 26-18, but also had 14 turnovers to Adena's 12.
