Franklin Twp Goes to Voters for Fire/Rescue Levy

Voters in Franklin Township of Ross County are being asked to approve a fire and rescue levy.

.

Fire Chief Jan Siders says if voters approve the levy, it would replace the old levy that would lower the tax rate from the current 6 mills to 5 mills. However, with higher property value under the terms of the new millage, it would bring in more money.

.

It has been 35 years since Franklin Township approved a fire levy.

.

The levy will appear for Franklin Township voters on the March 17th Presidential Primary ballot. If approved by voters, it could raise their taxes by 25 cents per day.
