Hemp is a cannabis plant, yielding a strong fiber used in textiles and many other industrial uses. While there is potential for profit in the hemp industry, Chris Bruynis with Ohio State University Extension warns that, due to federal regulations, it doesn’t come without financial risk.

.

If you’d like to learn more about hemp cultivation and its potential risks there’s a Hemp Growing and Processing Trade Show taking place next Thursday, March 12th at Central State University in Xenia. It’ll run from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 334 Progress Drive.

Interested attendees are asked to send an email to HWilliams@centralstate.edu.
