All Ross County administrative office buildings are now closed to the general public by order of the Ross County Commissioners until further notice.
The order however does not pertain to the Common Pleas or Juvenile/Probate Courts and the Law Enforcement Center, which have previously issued their own directives regarding their operations.
These administrative office closures are being enacted to help stem the spread of the COVID-19 virus. While most offices will remain open with staff present to conduct daily business, please contact the individual office you may need by phone or email to check on their procedures during this closure.
County office contact information is accessible at www.rosscountyohio.gov. The Commissioners realize this will cause some inconveniences for the public and they ask for your patience and understanding as we all navigate through this new and trying time.
The Ross County Commissioners will still conduct their weekly meeting on Monday, March 23rd at their chambers at the Ross County Courthouse. Appointments begin at 9:15 a.m. with Ross EMA Director Paul Minney is set to speak in regard to EMA personnel.
At 10:00 a.m. it’s on to the annual meeting of the Ross County Tax Incentive Review Council for a review of all outstanding enterprise zone agreements.
At 11:30 a.m. the Commissioners will then hear from county engineer Charlie Ortman in regard to various county roadway issues.
There will be a recess from noon until 2:00 p.m.
At 2:00 p.m. the Commissioners will conduct the first of two public hearings on the 2020 Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program, aka CHIP.
