The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction has confirmed that an inmate at the Pickaway Correctional Institution has tested positive for COVID-19.
This represents the second confirmed positive result in the state prison system. On Friday, the agency reported a positive test with an inmate at the Marion Correctional Institution.
Data from the ODRC also shows that four institutions are under a quarantine. They are Pickaway Correctional, Franklin Medical Center, Marion Correctional Institution and Toledo Correctional Institution .
According to the agency, quarantine “separates and restricts the movement of people who were exposed, or potentially exposed to a contagious disease to see if they become sick.”
