Troopers from the Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle serious injury crash that occurred on Pretty Run Road near Macedonia Road, in Vinton County. The Jackson Patrol Post was notified of the crash Saturday (April 4th) at 7:47pm by the Vinton County Sherriff’s Office.
39-year-old Joshua R Fyffe of Hamden, Ohio, was operating a Polaris RZR eastbound on Pretty Run Road while negotiating a curve. The vehicle traveled off of the right edge of the roadway, striking a ditch, before overturning multiple times. The passenger, 38-year-old Ryan A Lathey of McArthur, Ohio, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Lathey was airlifted from the scene by Medflight and flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with incapacitating injuries.
Fyffe was transported by Vinton County EMS to Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
