One Arrest, Two More Sought After Shots Fired at Waverly Area Home

The Pike County Sheriff has made one arrest and is seeking the whereabouts of two other people following an incident where gunshots were fired at a Waverly area residence, Tuesday morning.

The incident was reported shortly after 8:30am after shots were fired at a Kennard Road residence and two vehicles fled the scene. Eyewitness reports say there was a male occupant in a red pickup truck and a black four door vehicle with a female driver and male passenger. 

A red pickup truck matching the description given was later stopped by deputies on North Street at the Waverly Eagles. The driver, identified as Andrew Saxby, was taken into custody after drugs and a loaded firearm were located in his vehicle. Saxby was charged with felonious assault. 

Warrants have also been issued for felonious assault against the occupants of the second vehicle who have been identified 45-year-old Donald R. Henson Jr. and 24-year-old Ashley S. Hicks. Anyone who comes in contact with Henson or Hicks is asked to contact the Pike County Sheriff's Office at (740) 947-2111. 

The pair should be considered armed and dangerous.
