Second Suspect in Pike County Shooting Arrested, Third Still Sought

One of the two suspects sought in regard to gunshots fired at a residence along Kennard Road in Pike County was taken into custody by Pike County Sheriff’s Deputies on Wednesday. The incident involved a total of three suspects with first arrested on Tuesday.

According to a release from Pike County Sheriff James E. Nelson from Thursday, April 16th, deputies along with the Sheriff responded to Adena Pike Medical Center and took Donald R. Henson Jr., 45, into custody.

Henson had gone to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the leg which he had received on Tuesday during an altercation at a residence located at 89 Kennard Road.

Mr. Henson was placed into custody following treatment of his wound and was then transported to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office where he was booked in. He was then transported to the Butler County Jail.

A third suspect involved in the shooting, Ashley Hicks, 24, is still being sought by authorities and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on Ms. Hicks is encouraged to call the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 740-947-2111.

The first of the three suspects in the shooting, Andrew Saxby, was arrested in Waverly on Tuesday, April 14th.
