Chillicothe City Transit Looking Ahead To When Regular Routes Should Return

The City of Chillicothe, like many other communities in Ohio, is preparing for the business reopen and trying to gauge where they need to return services to meet demand. One of those services is the Chillicothe Transit System.

Mayor Luke Feeney says the system continues to offer para-transit and on-demand ridership service for those with essential need of travel for things like groceries. Now that healthcare visits are opening up, Feeney says their current system will continue as is until they see how much ridership demand is needed when retail businesses reopen in mid-May.

The mayor adds that when everything gets throttled back up is still to be determined, but they are working toward that goal.
