Ohio Athletes Free To Skill Train

Ohio High School Athletes are now allowed to return to in-person training beginning today (May 26th). The Ohio High School Athletic Association says skills training and conditioning for all sports, including contact sports, may resume under proper COVID-19 safety restrictions.

Skills training includes weight training, agility training, running, batting cages, and other types of cross-fit conditioning drills. Six-feet social distance measures are required, individuals must use their own equipment, sharing water from the same coolers or drinking stations is prohibited, and the wearing of masks when not engaged in strenuous activity is recommended.

While training is open, contact sports are not permitted to participate in contests.

For the general public, work-out gyms, bowling alleys, miniature golf and public swimming pools can resume May 26th, as well.
