The Pike County Sheriff is investigating the death of a man found in a trailer on his Pike Lake Road property.
On the afternoon of June 5th, Pike deputies and investigators responded to 256 Pike Lake Road in reference to checking the welfare of the resident and a dog inside a trailer. Upon making entry a body was found inside the trailer.
The body is believed to be the remains of the resident of the property, 70-year-old Dale Gordon. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification was called in to process the scene and once processing was complete the body was sent to Montgomery County for autopsy.
The investigation is continuing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
