Strong storms spawned tornado warnings from west to east across Ohio, late Wednesday afternoon.

The line of storms tracked from southwestern Ohio, heading in a northeastern direction. There were many reports of ponding of water along city streets from heavy rain, along with tree and utility damage in Hillsboro.

At least one eyewitness in Ross County says a small tornado touched down in a farm field near his State Route 207 home, between Clarksburg and Chillicothe. Matt Paxton posted on his Facebook page that a white funnel cloud touched down in the field, picking up dirt from a freshly plowed field.

Video of another tornado was seen in Marion, Ohio.

Numerous reports were made of downed trees, limbs, street signs and power lines throughout southern and central Ohio.
