Recall For Ground Beef Sold In Walmart Stores

(Columbus, OH) -- Central Ohio Walmart shoppers are being asked to check recent ground beef purchases following a recall notice for E. coli.

New Jersey-based Lakeside Refrigerated Services confirmed yesterday that over 42-thousand pounds of raw ground beef items produced on June 1st could be contaminated with the bacteria.

The possibly tainted products were sold with the EST-46841 number in the USDA mark under the names Marketside Butcher Organic Grass-Fed Ground Beef and Thomas Farms Grass-Fed Ground Beef.

No illnesses have been reported, and customers are asked to throw their product away or return it to the point of purchase.
