State Representative Shane Wilkin of Hillsboro has announced the movement of over $1 million within the 91st House District.
The Ohio Controlling Board approved the Attorney General’s Office’s request to transfer available and unused appropriations from the Pike County Capital Case from Fiscal Year 2020 to Fiscal Year 2021. The available, unused funds total $783,891.60.
“Pike County has faced many hardships while attending to the Pike County Capital Case,” said Wilkin. “The transference of these unused funds to next fiscal year as well as paying current bills is a valuable aspect in assuring justice is served with proper defense and prosecution. Allocations of funds like this lessen the financial strains on local offices within Pike County.
The Ohio Controlling Board also approved the Development Services Agency request of $310,797.00 to the Village of Greenfield. The funds will be used for public roadwork improvements in support of the Candle-Lite, Huhtamaki and Adient project in Greenfield.
“Business development is momentous in our district, especially lately with the expansions of businesses operating along the Greenfield railroad track like Candle-Lite, Huhtamaki and Adient.
I applaud the Controlling Board for committing these paramount funds to the great people of the 91st House District,” concluded Wilkin.
