Inaugural Ohio Youth Livestock Expo Begins July 25

With the state fair in Columbus cancelled, Ohio youth livestock exhibitors are being provided a competitive arena to finish their beef, sheep, swine, and goat projects for this year. A group led by agriculture industry volunteers and livestock show enthusiasts will host the inaugural Ohio Youth Livestock Expo for junior exhibitors over a series of dates in July and August, with more than 900 Ohio 4-H and FFA members exhibiting approximately 3,200 individual entries.

Cattle, sheep, and goat projects will be shown at the Darke County Fairgrounds in Greenville from Saturday, July 25, through Wednesday, August 5. Hogs will be shown at the Pickaway Agriculture and Events Center in Circleville from Sunday, August 9, through Tuesday, August 18.

Organizers are spreading the shows out over several days to allow for adequate social distancing.
