SATH's Annual Celebrity Golf Classic set for August 24

An area non-profit aimed at helping disabled children will be hosting a golf outing in late August. The group S.A.T.H., or Supplementary Assistance to the Handicapped, will be hosting the 28th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic on August 24, at Snow Hill Country Club in Wilmington.

The tournament will consist of twenty foursomes with one celebrity player on each team. The cost will be $200 per player or $800 per team. Individual and team sponsors are welcome. Each team will draw for their "Celebrity Player" at 9:00 a.m. the morning of the tournament. Hole sponsorships are available for $100.

Celebrity players confirmed for the event are former All-Pro David Fulcher; Cincinnati Bengal Ron Oester, and former Bengal Mike Ciccolella; former Cincinnati Red Gerry Myers; former Denver Bronco George Wilson; former UC basketball player and Olympian Jon Warden; Detroit Tigers Pitcher Jeff Hill; former New York Giant Steve Moeller.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and a sports memorabilia auction will take place prior to the tournament, which is open to the general public.
