COVID Cases Jump in Ross County

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Ross County continues to climb with the Ross County Health District reporting a Wednesday total of 332 cases. That’s up from 305 total cases reported by the district on Tuesday.

That makes 94 new cases reported by the district since its update on Friday, July 24th.

The Ohio Health Department is reporting a new record weekly high for hospitalizations due to COVID-19. Officials said Wednesday that there were one-thousand-122 patients in Ohio's hospitals being treated for the virus, with almost 350 needing intensive care.

The update also revealed one-thousand-396 new cases with 40 additional deaths. The overall cases of COVID-19 in Ohio have risen to more than 87-thousand since March with over 34-hundred deaths, and 62-thousand presumed recoveries.
