Multiple Ross County law enforcement agencies were involved in a manhunt Sunday afternoon and evening following a high speed chase that ended on River Road north of Chillicothe where the suspect fled on foot.
The chase began at about 5pm when a vehicle refused to stop in western Ross County- then proceeded east. The vehicle being pursued was clocked at speeds over 80 miles per hour and entered Chillicothe’s west-side from State Route 28 and US Route 50.
The pursuit continued to State Route 159 and ended on River Road, just north of the city. The suspect fled on foot after driving the vehicle partially in a wooded area near railroad tracks.
A search helicopter and K-9 were called in to join the search. No further details are available.
