Jurisdiction Change Coming For State Patrol in Pike County

The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be transferring its operations in Pike County from the Patrol’s Chillicothe Post to its Portsmouth Post on September 14th.

The change is being made in regard to current service call and crash volumes in Pike County, and the patrol’s Portsmouth Post being able to respond more quickly to the Pike County area.

So, come September 14th, the Porstmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol will handle Patrol operation in Pike County instead of the Chillicothe Post.
