AAA Looks at Travel Changes During Pandemic

AAA is noticing the changing trends in travel for Ohioans during the coronavirus pandemic, with more of an emphasis on the road trip and outdoor space that's not crowded.

Agency spokeswoman Kimberly Schwind says that's driven up demand for R.V. rentals.

Travel agencies are also now offering tours of popular domestic destinations that are within driving distance from Ohio, like Savannah, Georgia or Nashville.

While many Ohioans have been taking driving vacations during the pandemic, there are still some that like to take to the air.

As for international travel, while the Level 4 advisory has been lifted for the US, demand has not picked up.

For domestic flights, meanwhile, demand is also significantly lower than this time last year, so passengers can now get good deals on airfares.

AAA is starting to see an increase in travel bookings for 2021 and beyond.
