OHSAA State Cross Country Meet Will Be Two-Day Event in 2020

This year’s regional and state high school cross county tournaments will have a two-day format this year to spread out the event.

The Division 3 races will be run on Friday afternoons with the regionals on October 30th and the state on November 6th.

The Division 2 and 1 races will be run on Saturdays with the regionals on October 31st and the state on November 7th.

The current Ohio Department of Health order limits the number of runners in a cross country race to 150, which is less than a typical regional or state championships race. If the OHSAA’s variance request is not approved, each race will be run in two sections.

As previously announced, the state championships will be at Fortress Obetz, while the regionals will take place at various sites around the state.
