Troopers from the Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle fatal crash that occurred on Beaver Pike near Pine Ridge Road, in Jackson County. The Patrol was notified of the crash at 2:54pm Friday.
59-year-old Thomas Christopher Brock of Jackson, was operating a GMC Savana 3500 box truck eastbound on Beaver Pike, when the vehicle crossed the centerline and went off of the left side of the road. The vehicle then struck a ditch, and a culvert.
Liberty Township Fire Department arrived on scene and found Brock unresponsive and entrapped in the vehicle. The right door was removed from the vehicle by mechanical means.
Brock was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jackson County Coroner.
