Pickaway Sheriff K-9 Honored

The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a memorial service to honor the life and service of K-9 Turpin, which will take place at the Sheriff's Office on October 20th at 11am at the K-9 Memorial. Mask and social distancing guidelines will be followed. This event is open to the public and we welcome the community's support. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held on October 21st.

The K-9 memorial was built back in 2017 to honor all of the fallen K-9s that have served our great community. ​​​​​​​

K-9 Turpin passed away back last February 7th. Turpin was a Belgian Malinois and was born on January 6th, 2010, and was 10 years and 1 month old. He began as a Pickaway County Sheriff's Office K-9 on April 8, 2012 with his Partner Deputy Eric Eberhard. On August 8th, 2016 Turpin was given a new partner, Deputy Jeremy Wallace.

Turpin and Deputy Wallace remained partners until Turpin's retirement on May 28, 2019.

Turpin remained with Deputy Wallace after retirement.
