Laurelville Woman Killed, Two Others Taken to Hospital After US 23 Crash

Authorities in Pickaway County are investigating the cause of a three-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 55-year-old Laurelville woman, and left two others injured.

According to Pickaway County Sheriff Robert B. Radcliff, the crash took place shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Monday along US 23 north in the area of Deercreek Auto Parts.

According to a press release, a southbound vehicle had veered across the center divide and collided with a northbound vehicle. A third vehicle then collided with the rear of the northbound vehicle.

The accident claimed to life of Mary Beth Chambers, 55, of Laurelville, OH. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Randall Reece, 58, of Grove City, OH was transported Grant Medical Center in Columbus in critical but stable condition. Melissa Mullins, 44, of Columbus, OH, was transported to Berger Hospital, while her husband, Salvador Nunez, 43, of Columbus, declined transportation.

The release issued by the Sheriff's Office did not specify which vehicles the victims were in.
