High school runners from around Ohio will converge upon Fortress Obetz Saturday, November 7th in the OHSAA Cross Country State Championships. Among those runners, will be more than a dozen from southern Ohio.
The Unioto Boys squad is considered as one of the favorites for a Division 2 state team title, returning many of their runners from a state runner-up position in 2019. The Shermans will send Luke Kendrew, Seth Ogan, Clayton Lynch, Corey Schobelock, Gabe Lynch and Matt Spetnagel to the starting line at noon.
Colton Pinkerton of Circleville will be running in Division 2, along with Waverly's Mitch Green and Charlie Putnam of Portsmouth.
Ryan Richendollar of Adena will be running as an individual participant along with Teagan Werner of Eastern Pike and Cohen Frost of Leesburg Fairfield in Division 3.
For the girls, Karoline Pees of Teays Valley is running in Division 1.
Geneve Baril of McClain in Division 2
Westfall's Caitlyn Shipley, Mayla Toole of North Adams, Katy Seas of Peebles will be running in Division 3.
