Fire Departments in Ross, Highland, Pike, Hocking, Vinton and Jackson counties are eligible for a Volunteer Fire Assistance Grant offered by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Forestry.
That’s a 50/50 matching grant which provides funding for wild land fire equipment such as UTVs, ATVs, MARCS communication equipment, and other proposals that support rural fire department development.
The deadline to apply is January 15th of 2021.
