Weekend Computer Glitch Contributes To One Day Record COVID Cases

A new one day record of new COVID-19 cases for Ohio were reported yesterday with 11,885 new cases, to go along with reports of 24 new deaths.

Governor Mike DeWine says the high spike in numbers is likely attributed to a glitch over the weekend that prevented some of these numbers being added then, and therefore were dumped into Monday’s total of new cases.

Another death from COVID-19 was being reported in Vinton County. The Vinton County Health Department made that announcement, saying the latest death brings the county’s overall toll of casualties to six.

24 new deaths were reported statewide.
