The Unioto Shermans improved to (9-0) in the SVC with a 50-38 win over Zane Trace, hanging the second conference loss on the Pioneers this season.
Isaac Little scored 20 of his game-high 31 points in the first half as the Shermans led 33-21 at intermission. Little also surpassed the 1,000 career point mark in the game.
Unioto broke the game open midway through the first quarter as Zane Trace pulled to within 7-6, with the Tanks following that with an 11-0 run early into the second quarter. The end of the third quarter typified the kind of night Isaac Little was having, when his connected on an NBA range three-pointer to extend Unioto's lead to 42-26.
The Pioneers climbed back to within 12 points with under four minutes left in the game, but missed four or five opportunities to get any closer.
Other than Little's 31 points, Evan Park had 6 points and 6 rebounds, Tayvion Galloway added 5, Cater Markko 4 points and 6 boards, with DeSean Branson and Gunnar Greenwalt each with 2 points.
Zane Trace was led by Ben Nichols with 12 points, Nalin Robinson added 11, Carter Hill 6, Auston Ison 5, 3 from Ethan Nelson and Xzander Ream with 2.
The Shermans shot 46% from the field on 21/46- including 5/18 from the arc and added 3/6 from the foul line. Unioto committed 14 turnovers and had 21 rebounds.
Zane Trace shot 15/37 for 41%- including 3/8 from the arc and went 6/9 from the foul line, committing 13 turnovers with 17 boards.
Unioto improves to (9-0/11-2) and Zane Trace drops to (4-2/5-6).
