Chillicothe sweeps Westfall in boys volleyball

Chillicothe High School's boys volleyball team defeated Westfall in straight sets (25-8, 25-7, 25-16), Thursday. Hayden Cutright led CHS with 13 kills, 13 aces, and 8 digs.

“We had some first match jitters and that showed at the service line early, but our hitting efficiency was excellent and allowed us to get into a good rhythm,” said Cavaliers Coach Andrew Vitatoe. “This is probably one of the hardest hitting lineups we’ve had since we started our program, and they are really pumped up to be back on the court after missing out on last season.”

Chillicothe has been playing boys volleyball since 2016, but this is the first year for Westfall and Coach Chad Moehl in the OHSBVA.

“I had some really great conversations with Coach Moehl in the fall about our journey when we started our program," said Vitatoe. "We’re so excited for another program to start in the area, and I think they are well on their way to building a great program."

Chillicothe resumes its schedule on Saturday, April 10, at home against Thomas Worthington and Loveland.
