Motorcycle accident claims a life

A Tuesday afternoon accident that claimed the life of a Dayton man in Clinton County remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Wilmington Post. 55-year-old Terry Scott of Dayton was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on state route 380 when he was struck by a Ford Explorer that went left of center at the intersection of 380 and Inwood Road. According to the patrol, that vehicle, driven by 56-year-old Anthony Stevens of Wilmington, was trying to avoid a stopped vehicle in the intersection. He went left of center, and struck Stevens motorcycle head-on. Terry Scott was pronounced dead at the scene, he was not wearing a helmet. Stevens was not injured in the crash. Alcohol and/or drugs are thought to have played a role in the crash.
