Taser used to subdue Williamsport man

A Pickaway County man is facing multiple misdemeanor charges following a stand off with officers during a domestic incident on Tuesday. The Pickaway County sheriff’s office tells us deputies were called to a residence in the 11-hundred block of Randle Road in Williamsport shortly before 9:30 in the evening Tuesday in regard to a domestic disturbance call. 53-year-old Michael S. Warren was thought to be intoxicated, and tearing up the home. On arrival at the scene, Warren is reported to have run into the residence and locked the door. After making their way inside the home, deputies found Warren upstairs, and he was pointing a firearm at them. Deputies were able to get the weapon away from Warren, but he resisted their attempts to take him into custody, forcing Deputies to use a taser on him to subdue. Warren is now facing a first-degree misdemeanor charge of Domestic Violence, a first-degree misdemeanor charge of using weapons while intoxicated, a first-degree misdemeanor count of aggravated menacing, and a third-degree misdemeanor charge of unlawful restraint.
