Ross County remains under the statewide number of residents who have received either both, or one, of the COVID-19 vaccines available. The total numbers show that the county has vaccinated nearly a third of it's population, or roughly 33%. The statewide number of vaccinated people stands at 40%. 29% of Ross County residents also have received their second shot. The county does remain in the red, or Level 3, on the Ohio Department of Health's Alert System. Just two of the seven indicators on the status scale are not met in the county as of the end of April. Cases last month also dropped for the third straight month, with 323 reported cases. That number down from 354 COVID-19 cases reported in March.
