Catalytic converter thefts

Ross County Sheriff's Deputies investigating two separate incidents Thursday that resulted in the theft of three catalytic converters off of vehicles. The first call came from a man on North Fork Lane who reported when he showed up for work his truck sounded louder. Nathan Dicky told deputies he noticed the converter had been cut off of his truck. Another report came in from Frankfort, where Randy Hackworth told deputies he arrived at work and noticed a jack next to a vehicle in the car lot that did not belong to the shop he works at. A further check of the lot found a blade and flashlight on the ground next a truck. The converters off of both vehicles had been cut off. A check of the security camera in the lot showed a dark red Ford Ranger in the lot shortly before 3:30 Thursday morning, and someone from the truck cutting off the converters. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Ross County Sheriff's Office.
