Greene County Man Charged Following Non-Injury Shooting in Fayette County

A Greene County man is facing two counts of felonious assault as the result of a shooting from early Thursday morning in Fayette County.

According to Fayette County Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, deputies were called to Hi-Tech Electrical Contractors on Old U.S. 35 shortly before 7:00 a.m. where employees reported they had been shot at by a male subject.

The shooter was identified as Hi-Tech employee, Michael P. Nartker, 48, of Beavercreek. He was placed into custody without incident and a handgun was recovered from Nartker’s assigned work vehicle.

No injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire.

Mr. Nartker has been charged with two second-degree felony counts of felonious assault.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been provided, but Sheriff’s detectives are continuing to investigate. Additional charges against Mr. Nartker are pending the result of the investigation.
