Full Ohio Stadium hoped for

Ohio State Director of Athletics Gene Smith tells the Columbus Dispatch he is hoping for full capacity attendance for football games this coming season at Ohio Stadium. Smith said OSU will work with the City of Columbus public health commission in deciding the safe capacity for the stadium, which holds 104,944. 20,000 fans attended the spring game last month. Ohio State plays it's home opener on September 11th when the Buckeyes host Oregon. Smith made the comment shortly before the Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced that people who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear masks except in certain crowded settings. Ohio State has not even launched their ticket renewals yet. Normally, that would happen for season-ticket holders in March, but it was delayed by the uncertainty caused by the pandemic.
