Teays Valley Teachers Aide Charged for Unlawful Relationship with Student

A teachers aide with the Teays Valley Local Schools has been charged with felony counts of rape and gross sexual imposition following an investigation into an inappropriate relationship she’s alleged to have held with a student.

According to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, Teays Valley West Middle School teachers aide, Mandy Davis, has been charged with first-degree felony rape, third-degree felony gross sexual imposition and fourth-degree felony unlawful sexual contact with a minor.

In a release on Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office said an investigation had been launched after a concerned employee of the school reported an odd relationship between Ms. Davis and a student at the school.

During the course of the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office was able to secure an arrest warrant for Ms. Davis. She was subsequently arrested and booked into the Pickaway County Jail.

Sheriff’s Detectives, along with South Bloomfield Police and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation executed a search warrant at Davis’ South Bloomfield residence where they secured additional evidence.

Mandy Davis will be arraigned in Circleville Municipal Court on Thursday, May 20th.
