A proposal for an addition to the Buzzard’s Roost Nature Preserve is under consideration by the Ross County Park District.
The proposal is for the addition of a 60-foot-by-8-foot floating boardwalk that would span the pond at the nature preserve. It would allow visitors better access to view the water and the creatures that reside within. It would also serve as a teaching platform for Park District-sponsored events, as well as schools, youth groups and families.
The Park District is seeking public opinion on the proposed addition. Those interested in providing a comment should email Joe Letsche at joeletsche@rosscountyohio.gov. They call also call the Ross County Park District at 740-773-8794.
A Nature Works grant is being sought to fund the project, and there would no impact to any environmental resources.
