A Circleville man has been charged in connection with the death of another man after a fight Saturday evening in Athens. 24-year-old John Hayes of Circleville became involved in a fight with 24-year-old Ivan Johnson of Logan shortly before 2:00 A-M last Saturday. Hayes allegedly punched Johnson, who was trying to back away from the altercation. Johnson fell and hit his head, and was unconscious when he was taken to an Athens Hospital, he was later transferred to Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, where he was pronounced dead. Hayes was released on $10,000 bond. He is required to wear an ankle monitor
