Wagner trial date

Charged with 8 counts of murder in the 2016 slayings of members of the Rhoden family in Pike County, George Wagner IV had his trial dateset on Monday. Wagner, appearing in Pike County Common Pleas Court, will go to trial in April of 2022. A motion hearing had originally been set for April 28 but was delayed so the defense could "step back and reassess" after the case took a hard turn. Wagner's younger brother, Jake Wagner, pleaded guilty in May to all 22 counts against him, including eight counts of murder. The murders are a result of what investigators said was an elaborate and long-planned execution plot to get rid of anyone who might stand in the way of custody and control of Jake Wagner’s child.
