A request to resolve an ordinance regarding part time seasonal wages for Chillicothe pool life guards is under consideration in Chillicothe City Council Committee. Members of the Human Resources Committee are looking at an oversight which set the pay rate for life guards too low. The pay rate for first year employment will be increased to $10.00 per hour, which is the rate paid in years prior. The rate was set too low when preparing this year’s appropriations. With the change, all current lifeguards will receive back pay for hours worked during the 2021 season.
