Fireworks this weekend

Chillicothe's annual fireworks display returns for the fourth of July, that after being cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This year's display is scheduled for Sunday and will begin between 9:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. in Yoctangee Park. You are being encouraged to arrive early at the park Sunday to get the best spot to view the show. There will be vendors on hand as well. Fayette County's Fire in the Sky fireworks show is set to go off this Saturday evening at the Fayette County Fairgrounds. The display will go off right around 10:00 p.m. In Highland County, the "booming in the boro" fireworks show is also set to take place on Saturday. Fireworks will be launched from the Highland County Fairgrounds, also around 10:00 p.m. In Clinton County, Wilmington's fireworks show will also take place on Saturday at the Clinton County fairgrounds. That show will start at dusk. Should be a nice night for fireworks on Saturday with the national weather service calling for a clear sky with temps around 60. If you don't get your fireworks fill on Saturday, you can head to Chillicothe on Sunday for their fireworks show which is set to go off between 9:45 and 10pm in Yoctangee Park. Sunday night's forecast calling for a clear sky with temps in the mid 50s.
