Ohio wildlife officials are advising residents this week to stop feeding birds. The request comes as songbirds are continuing to die at the hand of a mystery illness. Prior to their deaths, the birds are said to show symptoms including an inability to fly, crust over their eyes and tremors. Officials say the birds have enough natural food and that, until they know what's causing the birds to get sick, it would be best if residents stop filling their bird feeders. Wildlife officials say that most reports of the mystery illness affecting the songbirds are coming from Brown, Butler, Hamilton, and Warren counties.
