Frank Solich retires

Ohio University's Frank Solich has announced he is retiring, effectively immediatley, as the head coach of the Bobcats. Solich, the winningest coach in Ohio and Mid-American Conference history, spent 16 years in Athens, and is stepping down to focus on his health. The 73-year-old Solich owns a career record of 173-and-101, which includes 6 years as the head coach at his alma mater, Nebraska. Offensive coordinator Tim Albin has been named the Bobcats new head coach, and has signed a four-year contract. Coach Solich will stay on in the Ohio Athletic Department as an advisor to Athletic Director Julie Cromer.
