M.A.D.E. on the Farm dinner returns August 1st

A drug education and prevention program for local youth will be hosting its fundraising dinner next month. M.A.D.E. on the Farm will be held at Beck's Farm (3005 River Road, Chillicothe) at 5:30 p.m. on August 1st.

"Beck's is located in a beautiful area with a wonderful view of Chillicothe," said Ivory Harlow, organization director of the Ross County Farm Bureau. "It'll just be a nice social evening for folks to come out for a worthy cause."

Harlow said that students in M.A.D.E. (My Attitude Determines Everything) pay $67 in dues, submit to voluntary drug-testing, and receive perks throughout the school year.

"More important is it really provides a reason for kids to say 'no' to drugs," said Harlow.

Tickets to MADE on the Farm may be purchased online at Event Brite or by calling the Ross County Farm Bureau at 740.474.6284. Cost is $50 for Farm Bureau members and $60 for non-members.

"The end goal to this is really for us to be able to raise enough funds so no student in Ross County has to pay out of their pocket to participate."
