$50K worth of Drugs Seized in Scioto County Traffic Stop

Two Michigan residents are facing felony drug charges as the result of a traffic stop in Scioto County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Troopers stopped a 2020 Nissan Altima with Kentucky registration for a headlight violation on State Route 728 shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Monday, August 2nd.

While interacting with the occupants, driver, Brianna I. Love, 26, and passenger, Isreal Crumpton, 27, both of Detroit, Troopers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent probable cause search then revealed one gram of marijuana, eight grams of cocaine, 88 grams of methamphetamine and 410 grams of heroin.

The drugs were valued at approximately $50,000.

Love and Crumpton have each been charged with first and second-degree felony drug possession and first-degree felony trafficking.
