The sewage collection system for the Village of Frankfort in Ross County, along with its wastewater treatment plant are set for improvement.
The Appalachian Regional Commission on Tuesday awarded a $250-thousand grant to the Village to be used to repair more than 56-hundred linear feet of sewer line, update equipment at two lift stations and replace several pieces of equipment at the wastewater treatment plant.
The work will improve sewer service to the Villages 67 business and 459 households who rely on the plant.
Additional funding will be provided by state and local sources bringing the total project funding to $3,234,460.
