Week number two of the 2021 high school football season was a steamy, humid, and in some cases, a stormy night, throughout the area. The Herrnstein Hyundai Game of the Week on 94-Country-WKKJ saw Amanda-Clearcreek from the Mid-State League come to Unioto and roll past the Shermans 30-to-3. The game followed an eerily familiar script to the last meeting between the two teams, when the Aces dealt the Tanks a 32-to-14 defeat. Amanda scored two touchdowns in each of the 1st and 4th quarters, then Friday did almost the same thing to Unioto. Amanda led 14-to-3 after one quarter, then added 16 fourth quarter points to seal the deal. The Aces Tayvon Miller scored three touchdowns, 2 on long pass receptions of 51 and 69 yards. Miller then added a 15 yard scoring scamper in the fourth quarter. Unioto's Kyan Clark was a standout defensively, with an interception and a fumble recovery. The Shermans, now 0-and-2 on the season, host Waverly next week. The win was the 400th all-time for the Amanda-Clearcreek program.
