Charges have been filed against another suspect in the shooting death of a Pike County man.
Pike County Sheriff Tracy Evans reports that Dalton James Boyd, 28, was taken into custody on Monday, August 30th with assistance from the US Marshal’s Office, The Ross County Sheriff’s Office, The Highland County Sheriff’s Office and the Waverly Police Department.
Boyd is accused in the fatal shooting of Christopher Martin, 65, who was shot at a residence along Muddy Fork Road in Cynthiana on the morning of August 21st. Boyd is currently being housed in the Scioto County Jail, awaiting arraignment on a charge of murder.
A second suspect in the case, Aaron Dale Cox, is also in custody. He appeared in Pike County court on Monday and was given a $1-million cash bond.
A third suspect in the shooting, Ashley Lynn Landrum, is currently being held in Ross County on unrelated charges, though a warrant charging her with murder has been issued according the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.
